To start off with, before you apply any cosmetics to your face you will need to be in ownership of a good make of cleanser, toner and moisturiser. For those of you that are unfamiliar of what these collection of products do, I will now tell you. The cleanser basically removes dirt, oils, makeup and any other types of bacteria from the surface of your face. The toner basically gets rid of everything that the cleanser has missed including getting bacteria out of the pores of your face which are accessible only after you have cleansed; it also restores the pH levels of your skin. Lastly the moisturiser absorbs in all the essential oils and prevents it from being corrupted by the environment. So in summary, this method it keeps your skin feeling fresh, healthy looking and good for the long-term.
Now you have completed these first steps you will be prepared to begin the process of applying your makeup. First and foremost equip yourself with your mineral powder, liquid or pressed powder foundation. It is important that you don’t just smear this on in any old manner, only use a small amount and dab it on your forehead, cheeks and chin. When you have done this begin to blend the foundation dots by using a spherical movement increasingly working outwards till the lines have become invisible. If you have blemishes, spots or any other types of imperfections on your face you can use this stage to cover them up with a concealer.
The next stage of applying cosmetics comes in the form of using a blusher for your cheeks. Using a blusher is a great way to bring out a beaming glow on your cheeks. With this you need a good quality brush because it can go dreadfully wrong with a cheap brush that isn’t made properly, so make sure your brush is effective for the job in hand. To apply blusher simply smile so the apple of your cheeks are on show, then apply a small quantity of powder onto your blusher brush and stroke it on each apple of your cheek then combine the colour in.
Next you can begin to apply your eye makeup. Eye makeup can differ for certain occasions, by this I mean day wear, social wear and evening wear. For this stage we will use evening wear as this is probably the most popular. For evening wear it is ideal to stay with stylish and warm colours such as browns, champagnes and gold’s. Firstly apply black eyeliner which will give a startling, vivid appearance and effect to each of your eyes. Then use your choice of eye shadow colour and apply it carefully. Finally use some black mascara to finish off the look of your eyes and bear in mind to keep this stage straightforwards and don’t cause yourself any problems.
To complete your overall look before you go out to wherever you are going to, don’t forget lipstick. Hang fire before you put lipstick on though, firstly I would suggest outlining your lips with either a lip pencil or a lip liner, be sure that the colour of this liner closely resembles that of the lipstick you want to use if not it will look perculiar. For instance if you have a light shade of pink lipstick don’t use a dark brown lip line colour because as you can predict it will look like you have been eating chocolate! So once your lips have been lined apply your lipstick carefully then blend in the lined effect to complete your overall appearance.
There you have it! You are now looking the part and ready to dazzle and startle.
